iTown #2 Bedale

Here are just some of the issues raised in Bedale. Check out the podcasts, videos and photos for this group below:

Traffic Many of our group felt that traffic drove too fast through the town and on market days, it was dangerous with cars pulling in and out of parking places, several reports of young people being knocked down by car were noted.	Shopping Many of our group felt that Bedale doesn't have enough shops for young people!
It's not fare! the young people of Bedale have to travel to larger towns to shop, go to the cinema etc. Even though most were under 14, they reported still having to pay full fare, and suggested that perhaps a youth card could be introduced so that they could afford to travel without relying on 'mum's taxi'	Nothing to do! Our Bedale group also mentioned that because the town was quiet mostly, that nothing was open and there was nothing to do at night.

iTown #1 - Boroughbridge

iTown #2 - Bedale

Boroughbridge was our first iTownMyTown.

Taking place over 3 days, a group of 8 – 12 teenagers worked with our creative team to create videos & podcasts tackling issues with sports facilities, litter, crank callers, and having nothing to do!

bedale Taking place over a rainy weekend, our Bedale group used video and podcast radio shows to tackle subjects such as shopping, traffic congestion, unfair fares, the lack of facilities, such as internet cafes and cinemas.

iTown #4 - Scunthorpe

grimsby Our Grimbsby group spent a weekend creating radio shows and videos about youth space, vandalism, environmental issues, and the town's football team.
